SMA Technologies Innovation Lab
Step right in
Innovation Lab is the new community resource hub for users to share their solutions and expertise in OpCon. It is driven by users and managed by a committee of SMA volunteers utilizing the Github platform.
Our client-driven development process inspired the idea, but we wanted to make sure we put a framework in place that emphasized quality over quantity before we unleashed the creativity and problem-solving skills of OpCon users.
Three handy things you will find in the Innovation Lab
- Scripts
- Connectors
- Utilities
We want to make it as easy as possible for clients to find solutions to automation challenges. Innovation Lab is an open Github workspace where users can find and share OpCon addons at no additional cost.
We’ve implemented a feature allowing users to share solutions that they’ve come up with. They'll go through a review process based on the following guidelines:
- License and Terms of Use must be published (template provided)
- Documentation must be included
- Contributions will follow a pull-request policy
- Committee will review the pull-request for integration
Read the full contribution guideline here.
Community support
Similar to other user-generated mods, individual contributors will be responsible for supporting the content that they share. Each repository will have a bug tracker that's built into the Github interface.
