Our hir­ing process

At SMA, we have an inclusive recruiting process that ensures we assess the people we hire based on current skills and experience as well as long-term growth potential. Step 1 – Application

This is the first step in the process, and gives you an opportunity to submit your resume. Be sure to align your skills and experience to the roles that you are most interested in. We are looking for candidates that have experience that strongly aligns to the job requirements.

Step 2 – Assessment

Our assessments help us determine if SMA and the role you have applied to are a good fit. Your application is assessed by our HR department and the hiring manager. If our recruiters believe you are a potential match for the role, they will schedule a phone call to learn more about your skills and experience.

Step 3 – Team Interviews

At this stage, we schedule in-person interviews to get to know you better and give you a chance to ask us questions. Our interviewing process helps us make sure we hire people who will grow within our culture. You’ll be expected to discuss your work experience, types of projects you’ve worked on, and your long-term career goals. We also want to know why you want to join the SMA family.

Step 4 – Offer Letter

Congratulations! At this step in the process you have been chosen to join the SMA team. You will be in touch with your recruiter who will walk you through the offer letter and answer any questions you may have. After receiving your verbal acceptance, your recruiter will submit an official written offer through our HR system.

We perform ongoing research to ensure we are market competitive when it comes to compensation packages offered at time of hire and beyond.

Step 5 – Onboarding

We want to make you feel like part of the SMA family right away. Your manager will work to ensure you have a unique onboarding plan that includes getting to know your fellow team members as well as training.
