Modern digital environments are growing increasingly complex. Not only that, but the pace of technological change promises to continue accelerating. Such a technological forecast wouldn’t normally bode well for IT departments.
Fortunately, there’s a solution. OpCon, the workload automation platform powered by SMA Technologies, easily integrates people, processes, and applications on every major operating system. OpCon increases institutional speed and efficiency by automating repetitive manual processes, thereby freeing employees from tedious tasks and unlocking their potential to accomplish higher-value work.
OpCon has helped countless organizations seamlessly automate their systems. It has simplified complicated networks and empowered end users to easily manage their own automation. And now, with the release of OpCon 19.0, automation is easier than ever.
Better vision and more control
Automation is not as complex as it sounds, but that doesn’t exactly make it simple. And yet, that’s precisely what our Solution Manager aims to do.
We’ve enhanced Solution Manager to make managing automation easy for any end user. We’ve added further functionality to it, ensuring that operators can better understand their OpCon environment—and more effectively control it.

Built for the future
There are no workload automation solutions as fundamentally comprehensive as OpCon. So, to ensure we continue delivering extensive automation across all available platforms, we’ve expanded our core functionality. OpCon 19.0 now supports Microsoft SQL on Linux.
Supporting Microsoft SQL is part of a broader initiative to support all of OpCon running on Linux. This move will help broaden the long-term reach, impact, and integration of our automation platform.
And, to further set your organization up for future development and connectivity, we’ve expanded the OpCon API. We’ve added all the features from our Solution Manager to the OpCon API, from which users may now add, modify, or delete daily jobs. Lastly, dependency types are updatable through the API, allowing modification of job, threshold, resource, and expression dependencies.
Our goal is to make OpCon your bridge to the future. However you grow, we’re there to help you along the way. Supporting Microsoft SQL on Linux and expanding our API are critical steps on this journey.
